Wheel: While The Going Merry was navigated via an interior whip-staff, Sunny is navigated via a wheel found at the fore of the ship. There is a lever attached to the wheel which may be used for selecting Channels on the Soldier Dock System.

Fore Mast: Located at near center of the body of the ship, the fore mast bears the main sail and houses the Lookout Room.

Grass Deck: An interesting and surprising choice, Sunny boasts a deck with real growing grass. When one considers the tree swing and slide connected to the deck, making it resemble something of a park atmosphere, and sees Luffy's instant pleasure within moments of laying his eyes on Sunny, it seems clear that Oda made this choice as another way to express the adventurous child-like spirit in Luffy.

Main Mast: The main mast in the aft continues down into the ship as far as the 1st Floor Aquarium Bar. Within the mast itself are a number of contraptions detailed elsewhere. Located directly behind the main mast are Nami's mandarin trees still intact from their time on Merry.

Surveying Room, Library and Top Level Spa: One of the stranger choices Oda made in designing Sunny is the gobe-like structure in the aft of the ship that contains not only Nami's surveying room and library, but also, the shower and spa room that can only be reached by ladder from the Surveying Room. Soaking wet males tramping through her workspace will no doubt set Nami into a fury.

Usopp Factory (Branch Office): Although it seemed to be somewhat portable on Merry, Usopp has two established locations for his famous Usopp Factory on Sunny. What you see on deck is merely his outdoor branch office. One might call it a mere shadow of the HQ located deep within Sunny.
