I warned you, sure you wanna know? Jango became the star of Oda's 3rd mini-arc series "Jango's Dance Heaven" which began in Chapter 126 (Vol. 14) and ran for 37 installments (with one side-story featuring Kaya) and ended in Chapter 172 (Vol. 19). As this story was not featured in the animation, I will divulge some of the details. If you do not want to spoil anything else I suggest you stop right here.

Jango wakes up in the forest where he was knocked out attempts to get back to his crew but they've already left without him. With nowhere in particular to go he hangs out for a bit before being recognized by the former members of the Usopp Pirate Crew and getting chased off the island. After some time at sea and an interesting chance passing of another character, Jango lands at Mirror Ball Island only to find he's being sought after by Marines. Jango changes his appearance and in doing so reveals his eyes to the readers for the first time. He enters a dance competition (being a former dancer) and wins 1st Place. The runner-up was none other than Iron-Fist Fullbody! The two (neither knowing the other's true identity) become friends over drinks until Jango discovers Fullbody is a Marine. At that time the Tulip Pirates raid Mirror Ball Island giving Jango a chance to escape. Fullbody fights back against the invaders but is beaten down. All seems lost when Jango risks everything by coming back and saving his comrade. Jango is placed under arrest and taken to court but is freed for his honorable actions with Fullbody's help in a grand display. Ready to sadly part ways with his friend Jango begins to use a spell to wipe out his and Fullbody's memory of their friendship when Captain Hina sexily struts by and two drooling fans are born. Jango joins the Marines as a chore-boy and for assisting a pirate in a trial, Fullbody is also demoted to the same rank. Together they begin their funky fandom worshiping Capatain Hina.

Jango next comes into the story in Chapter 214 (Vol 23) where he's known as "Double-Crossing Jango". He has achieved the rank of Marine HQ Private Recruit and helps fight against Luffy (sort of) alongside Fullbody.

Jango has most recently come into the story in the current (Summer 2005) mini-arc where he's seen vacationing with his fellow officers at Kyuuka Island. The story is still in progress as of this writing and what happens (if anything) further related to Jango remains to be seen.
