As a side-story during Wapol's Mini-Arc in Chapter 243, we find that Dalton was indeed selected as the successor to Wapol and crowned King Dalton. The country dropped the name Drum and was reborn as the Sakura Kingdom. The new flag of the country would appear to be Hiruluk's cross-bones and sakura petals. Even Dalton's robe depicts cherry blossom petals. Also please note that in this scene, Dalton is seen holding a normal shovel for snow shoveling. This is why I was certain that his sword was not simply a regular shovel.
